Within steps, you will reach our local, The Grumpy Mole! Whether you want to pop in for a drink or get a full Sunday roast, there is plenty to offer here. A real favourite in the village, there is nothing grumpy about this pub!

Sorrel – 10-minute drive

If you are looking for a fine dining experience, Sorrel is the place to go. Steve Drake, recipient of multiple Michelin stars, is the head chef and the menu offered is representative of the creativity and artistry that has gone into the food. For the food lovers out there, this cannot be missed!

Two Many Cooks coffee shop (RH4 2HQ): 8-minute drive

If you fancy a morning coffee or a hearty meal, this is the perfect place to go! Offering breakfast, lunch and takeaway picnic food, this buzzy coffee shop is the place to go to satisfy your cravings. The hot chocolate is the best around!

Denbies Wine Estate (RH5 6AA): 10-minute drive

Situated in the local town, Dorking, there is plenty to do at Denbies! The indoor wine tasting tours operate all year so, even in those winter months, you can experience all that Denbies has to offer. With a restaurant for food and wine tasting, a gift shop, and 265 acres of vines, you are set for a fab day out.

Box Hill (KT20 7LB): 15-minute drive

Another National Trust gem in Surrey, Box Hill is always popular! Included as part of the Olympic road race route, this location offers stunning views, a variety of walking routes, bike trails and a natural play area for the kids!

Polesden Lacey (RH5 6BD): 20-minute drive

With 1600 acres of beautiful landscape, Polesden Lacey offers superb views across Surrey’s rolling hills. The spectacular gardens are sure to impress even the most skilled gardeners, and the open spaces are the perfect place for a picnic.

The Edwardian House, once home to socialite Margaret Greville, was a space for hosting royalty and other famous figures, and the grandiose fashion of her lifestyle is evident when touring the house and seeing her collection of art and furniture.

Leith Hill (RH5 6LU): 25-minute drive

Climb to the top of Leith Hill Tower, at the highest point in Surrey, and take in the panoramic views of the surrounding wide stretching landscape. On a clear day, you may even see the sea off The South Coast! With a variety of trails to explore, Leith Hill is popular for a reason.

Claremont Landscape Garden (KT10 9JG): 30-minute drive

Described as ‘a green oasis’, this eighteenth-century garden, situated close to Esher, provides a tranquil escape with colourful views all year round.

Nymans (RH17 6EB): 30-minute drive

Across the county border in West Sussex, Nymans is a great place to visit. In addition to the house and ruins, the beautiful and distinctive gardens, created by the Messel family, boast world famous designs and exotic plants from around the world.

Hatchlands Park (GU4 7RT): 35-minute drive

Hatchlands Park is open all year round and allows you to explore the stretches of vast parkland and woodland, in a beautiful setting. With picturesque gardens to see, endless trails and house tours available, there are plenty of activities on offer.

Petworth House and Park (GU28 9LR): 50-minute drive

Situated in the South Downs National Park, discover one of Britain's finest stately homes, set within a beautiful 700-acre deer park landscaped by ‘Capability’ Brown. With plenty of space to explore, this really is a magnificent sight to see.

Steeped in history, Petworth is the perfect place to shop for antiques and many travel from far and wide to visit this market town. Independent shops and cafes are in plentiful supply if you fancy a shopping break!
